Edit Profile


Introduction

As part of Registration and Sign In, all users must supply profile information, such as email address, phone number, title, agency, etc. This information can be altered, as needed. If you need to update your username or email address associated with your account please contact the help desk (support@preptoolkit.fema.dhs.gov). The following profile fields are required and cannot be left blank:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Business Phone Number
  • Business/Agency/Organization Name
  • Supervisor Name who can verify accuracy of your profile information if contacted for account vetting. You must include at least one contact method (phone or email) for your supervisor. 

Steps to Edit Profile

While logged into PrepToolkit. select the dropdown arrow beside your name on the top right side of the screen. Select Edit Profile.

A drop-down menu titled "Jane Doe" is shown with four values available in the list: Notifications, Edit Profile, Change Password, and Sign Out. The Edit Profile value is selected.

Alter fields as needed, ensuring required fields remain populated. Once all needed changes have been made, select the Save button.

A window is shown with the following heading: Your Profile. To the right of this is the text Account Status: Approved. Eight fields are shown below the heading: Username, Sector, U.S. Citizen, Salutation, First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number. The Username and Email Address fields are grayed out. The Sector and Salutation fields have a value of "Select" and the U.S. Citizen field has a value of Yes. Below these fields are four collapsible sections with the following headings: Address, Agency/Organization, Supervisor, and Sector Specific/Community of Practice. All of these sections are collapsed. Save and Cancel buttons are displayed at the bottom of the window.
