Dashboard Displays
Overview Display
The Overview display appears by default after navigating to the Dashboard. It provides a high-level view of the total number of MSEL events broken down by status.
By Date Display
View the Date display by selecting the By Date tab on the Dashboard. The Date display organizes MSEL events by conduct dates and times. This display keys off the Planned Release date and time assigned to an event. If this field is not populated in an event, the event will not be included in the Date display in the Dashboard.
If your time zone differs from the time zone set for the overall MSEL, you may change the Display Time Zone.
The events assigned to each day of conduct can be displayed by selecting the arrow link beneath the appropriate day. Once the day's details are displayed, MSEL event details can be viewed and/or edited by users with appropriate permissions by selecting the link on the top right hand corner of the MSEL event's display box.
By Exercise Objective Display
View the Exercise Objective display by selecting the By Exercise Objectve tab on the Dashboard. The Exercise Objective display organizes MSEL events by Exercise Objectives. This display keys off the Exercise Objectives selected for each MSEL event. If no Exercise Objectives are selected for an event, the event will not be included in the Exercise Objectives display in the Dashboard.
The events assigned to each Exercise Objective can be displayed by selecting the arrow link beneath the appropriate Exercise Objective. Once the Exercise Objective's details are displayed, MSEL event details can be viewed and/or edited by users with appropriate permissions by selecting the link on the top right hand corner of the MSEL event's display box.
By Principals' Objective Display
View the Principals' Strategic Priorities display by selecting the By Principals' Strategic Priorities tab on the Dashboard. The display organizes MSEL events by Principals' Strategic Priorities. This display keys off the Principals' Strategic Priorities selected for each MSEL event. If no Principals' Strategic Priorities are selected for an event, the event will not be included in this display in the Dashboard.
The events assigned to each Principals' Strategic Priority can be displayed by selecting the arrow link beneath the appropriate Principals' Strategic Priority. Once the details are displayed, MSEL event details can be viewed and/or edited by users with appropriate permissions by selecting the link on the top right hand corner of the MSEL event's display box.
Dashboard Tools
The Dashboard includes three tools in the gray toolbar that will assist you across all Dashboard displays: the Refresh button, the Legend, and the Filter.
The Refresh button appears onscreen along with a "Dashboard updated..." message if changes have been made to the MSEL. Select the Refresh button to load the latest changes in your Dashboard display.
The Legend provides you with the meanings of the colors used throughout the Dashboard displays.
The Filter allows you to filter out inapplicable information from the display so you can more easily focus on information of interest to you. Selecting the Filter button at the top of the Dashboard leads you to a pop-up window with a number of settings.
- Keyword: Search for whole or partial numbers and words across the Event Number, Description, To, From, and Implementer Message fields
- Status: Choose statuses in the All field and select the right arrow to add them to the Selected field; this will filter the Dashboard display so it only includes events that are in your selected statuses. If the Selected field is empty, all statuses will be included in the Dashboard display. Choose statuses in the Selected field and select the left arrow to remove them from the Selected field.
- Event Number: Filter the display to a specific event number range. (Sorting the MSEL's Event Number column in ascending order will reveal the events that fall within a specific event number range.)
